I don’t think I’d go that far. Turkey has a lot of flaws but it isn’t stupid. Given their past behavior they’re probably one of the few Muslim majority countries that would NOT enjoy middle eastern support in an action against us.
It does speak to their desire to wipe out as many Kurds as possible that they aren’t exactly clearing spaces for fire before sending it

I was stationed there. I have a number of Turkish friends...I wouldn't put it past the Army to stage something in the hopes of a US response that removed Erdogan

No way a NATO ally would do that. Time to withdraw from the area or declare war and go all in.

I don't see the WH taking a hard stand other than just talks. I believe it'll be a case of the administration trying to mediate and save face as opposed to calling Turkey out on it. After all, they did pull out knowing fully well how events would play out. That's my $.02
