Showing even less tact or humanity than usual, Trump mocked the onetime American allies who are facing ethnic cleansing after the president gave Turkey a green light to overrun northern Syria over the weekend.

“It’s not our problem,” Trump said during a White House photo op. “They’ve got a lot of sand over there ... There’s a lot of sand they can play with.”

The Kurds are seasoned fighters and can take care of their own. They can also get out of Dodge if need be. Redeploys 50 troops...One bus load... is now called ethnic cleansing.

I suppose you don't know of Saddam used chemical weapons to kill 50,000-100,000 Kurds after we promised them protection. The Turks have also committed genocide on the Kurds thoughout history.

Trump has no conscience, hence he is a pragmatic asshole. The Kurds were instrumental in defeating ISIS and sustained thousands of KIAs in the process. To say what Trump said is beyond stupid.
