First rule of everything - is everything that can be borrowed some someone else can only be done so if you know what is there. lol If you place yourself in a box and make yourself the COE, and do not even look back at your own history.. well then you have the American way of COIN.. We look at the Russian actions as being pretty brutal - then again - everyone tends to see that of the US as well. We prefer to forget GEN O's actions that inflamed the Iraqi population and got us a full on insurgency.... and what we did in those early years....
