You know, the notion that both nations, embroiled in a conflict with one another, might both have had a hand in trying to influence election outcomes and policy in the United States is not "Russian propaganda".
I'd bet you whatever you want to wager that both of them did.
The fact that we are still talking about that and have yet to do anything about it is pretty telling.
Lots of powers and principalities try to influence elections, from PACs and wealthy individuals, to protesters (real and astroturf), to corporations and foreign entities, to unions and lobbyists, all try to influence the outcome to their advantage. It isn't new.

The hypothetical you pose is not propaganda. The specific that the Ukraine did the medfling and set it up to look like the russians did it, which what the conspiracy theory says, is abslutely russian propaganda.

I like it how Democrats portray this as brand new and has never happened before with any country in the past that was a large receipient of our foreign aid. Of course they are going to try to kiss the arse of the person they think will be the next POTUS, they have an ulterior motive and it's.......wait for it.........more foreign aid!!!!. Oy! Just look at the transgressions at election time by Israel over the years attempting to pick their favored candidate. None of this really matters of course to the election outcome and the Democrats are only using it so they can accuse other people of being traitors or try to explain why that lying Hillary Clinton lost. The American voter disregards most of this BS as background noise. Only in the wildest Left Wing dream does it impact voters and produces an election outcome because in their view the American electorate is stupid and has to be led to vote for the right candidate via the Left wing in this country. Nothing else produces a fair election result according to them. Almost sounds like dictatorship, doesn't it?
