Veteran Identification to Civilians
So, I know this is a duffleblog article and not real, but what if something like this happened? With the way we have become to sensitive to EVERYTHING that goes on in the world, do you think there will become a day where we have to identify ourselves to our neighbors? I certainly hope not.....

That really wasn't the point of the topic. It was to discuss the possibility of something like this happening, with all the other crazy stuff that comes out of congress!

All their work could be collated and stuffed in a duffel bag and buried in the Mariannas Trench and the world would be a better place.

In some ways it has already arrived. Veteran status is often noted on a state drivers license. There is a bill before congress to create a Veternas identity card to enable Veternas to identify themselves at commercial venues. If approved and established, it is a very short step to the creation of a universal Veteran status card.
