Trump cannot make such an order, only as a suggestion. Since he has done damn little, he can't do much to change the situation.
We are far from over with this. We may not ever be as some scientist think this may be seasonable, returning every year until a vaccine is found and distributed.

PFC Michael Korach - To be fair, I have insulted MSG Stan Hutchison in this discussion thread and others. Not directly, but it's there, implied. It's a weakness of mine bred of countless experiences with him. I simply refuse to engage him directly any more, preferring instead to warn others, to show them that his "opinions" are not unchallenged. When he offers actual evidence, I rebut them. However, when he merely comments with ad hominem attacks or unsubstantiated pejoratives, my responses are directed to others who have the misfortune of stumbling upon his posts (and that is insulting - I'd be insulted if someone spoke past me refusing to even acknowledge the worthiness of my words)

Oh, the "White House" response coordinator. Outstanding, given we now lead the world in the number of confirmed infections. They are really bumping up those numbers through the lack of early planning and response in favor of downplaying and soft selling the issue... and that is being generous. If they are still trying to "actively contain" the virus, they are failing. We have managed to slow progression somewhat through social distancing, and efforts at the state and local levels, but they will keep bad mouthing that COA and everyone will be saying screw it in two weeks time and going back to their normal routine. See what happens then.
