I don't know why they'd do that. It would end up being an indictment of the (very blue) leadership of that state when juxtaposed with say Florida. That would seem to be counter-productive.

Yes they are and they are being helped by those in power in Democrat strongholds. They are reporting as COVID deaths those who test positive even if they died of heart attacks, strokes, cancer or other diseases.
