Why the Navy's Coronavirus Crisis Turned Into a Political Crisis

*grin* I learned a long time ago that the definition of "truth" has a funny way of changing the further up the ladder we go! Truth to an E-3 often bears absolutely no resemblance to truth in that 5 sided architectural monument......(That just HAD to come out!)

Whatever happened to operational security? Captain Crozier wasn't in charge of a recreational kayak. He was entrusted with a strategic national asset. That strategic national asset was in theater, where we have a regional military power actively trying to expand its role to GLOBAL military power.

Captain Crozier was absolutely correct to keep hammering home that he had a command in trouble, quietly and through secure channel. He could have, and should have bitched to the chain of command to the point of being relieved if necessary. The second he decided to go public he should have been fired and in my opinion should face a court-martial. The last thing this nation needs is senior military leaders that throw public hissy fits when they don't get their way.

I an old soldier I followed our peerless leader Major General Harry William Osborne Kinnard II (May 7, 1915 – January 5, 2009) into all sorts of strange places in one of the Air Assault exercises we flew through a hurricane using H-13s to scout our way through it and this little short fat non-rated aviator type major screaming “we called the exercise on account of weather” The Boss looked down from all six plus feet of crazy Tejano and said “young major I remember spending the winter of 1944-1945 in a charming Belgian hamlet called Bastogne and we never call the fornicating exercise on account of fornicating weather! (I still have a better vocabulary than the General.) I do not recall if the little short fat non-rated aviator type major befouled his trousers that day. How many of you remember the Aerial Rocket Artillery well before the Army shipped us to Vietnam recall that the 2/20 Field Artillery was equipped with the nuclear capable MGR-3 Little John Guided missile. Now we all know how intellectually challenge the big green machine is or am I the only one who found the CONEX with the artic combat gear in our company area? So the other services Navy, Marines and Wind Farce sorry I meant to write Air Force it must have been Freudian slip on the other hand the Army uses eighteen year old warrant officers who wear little watches. Does anyone need an explanation?
