Bigotry is not exclusive to the Democrats. The Republicans did not treat Mitt Romney well during the impeachment.

I don't think Romney is a republican and wouldn't be surprised if Utah puts him out to pasture

I sometimes have this recurring dream at night; all across the country... people with families, who work hard, often struggle to make ends meet, are labelled as "backward", "ignorant", "dangerous", "lazy", etc.... we all come together to see how much we're really alike. Predominantly Caucasian members of the "First Baptist Church" on Maple St. worshiping and singing alongside predominantly African-American members of the "Sword of the Spirit" Pentecostal church on 12th Ave., and mostly Hispanic members of "St. Michael's" on Elm St. Guys who go deer hunting, hanging around a fire and drinking a few cold ones with some other guys who spend their Saturday's fishing on the pier. Maybe even a few folks who are used to riding the subways... meeting up with their kids at the park with people who commute forty-five minutes by car to work. We all want the same things... the opportunity to earn a decent living, provide something for our families, and do it all in a reasonable expectation of safety.

Seems to me (and heck, I could be wrong), the people who keep screaming and shouting about how "unjust" everything is, and how much we should be afraid of one another... are the same people who have been in the best position to influence change for several decades, earn sumptuous salaries, and live in gated communities with private security.

There was a time when you could count on some Democrats to vote with Republicans and Republicans vote with Democrats. Today that rarely happens. We seem to value freedom of speech (and thought) except within the context of politics

Frankly, SP5 Dennis Loberger, that is what scares me most about the partisan divide we have now. There is either one way or the highway, no crossing the aisle. Bills and laws are better when there is compromise between the parties.
