The system has a place in the Navy. The system can, with time, also be used by the Army and Marines land warfare. I don't think the USAF will find a need for the system but who knows...maybe the Space Force will.

Rail guns could be of interest to the USAF in the far future. I may be retired by the time the technology is meaningful for use from an aerial system though.
