In 2017, the novel was made into a Hollywood blockbuster that grossed over US$96 million globally, starring Octavia Spencer and Sam Worthington.

What we really have trouble sorting out is how God can be good, and yet allow evil to remain in the world. The crucifixion of Christ is the greatest conundrum in human history, how the most EVIL event in human history also brought about the most good.
