Good morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs I often talk with clients about emotional baggage. Right now many of us are using this "lockdown" time as an opportunity to go through old papers and junk and get rid of them. It's a good time to do the same emotionally and begin to let go of the stuff you are carting around that is keeping you from trying new things, forging new relationships and enjoying your life. What are you dragging around that you can let go of?

Lt Col Charlie Brown - Thanks for all the great quotes Charlie. Hope you and Tom had a great day. "May you find peace and calm in your everyday life by dumping the junk in your trunk and keeping it junk free; may you stay positive and resilient during these times; and may you keep yourself healthy and keep your family strong and healthy!" – COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect you recognize that at your salvation God cleansed and justified you of all sin past, present and future. As far as HE is concerned YOU have no excess baggage since HE has justified you. The LORD admonishes us “Walk in the light as HE is in the light” and to confess our sins as soon as the Holy Spirit prompts us since the LORD “is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Charlie
I pray that you and I spiritually mature enough to fully trust the LORD and confess our failures to obey God through our words, actions, failure to act, and in spirit, my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I lift YOUR adopted sons and daughters with internal scarring from emotional and physical trauma to YOU LORD. I pray that YOU prompt each one to offer up what troubles them to YOU and that YOU motivate trustworthy people to spend time with them [remotely] and listen to them. I trust that YOU are gently healing each one of them.
Thank YOU. LORD for YOUR Word as YOU justified each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters at out salvation
1. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." [I John 1: 7-10 ESV]
2. “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.’ [Romans 5: 1-5 ESV]
I pray LORD that YOU bless each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer with by delivering them from emotional disorders inflicted on us or and delivering anybody who was emotionally abused by us. Enable each one to be more transparent to YOU and those closest to us.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones sleep well Thursday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

High speed, low drag, does not include all the "wouldas, shouldas, couldas" accumulated through a lifetime usually good, sometimes bad decision making.

Sounds like a fantastic topic for tonight's meeting, sir.

Good “Thursday Day” Morning COL Mikel J. Burroughs From the overcast skies of the Grater Boston Area, where the temp is 69°, humidity 88% and headed upwards of 80°... Not sunny, but not bad either! LOL! “Emotional Baggage Day!” Why Not?

1) "Each of us has the right and the responsibility to assess the roads which lie ahead, and those over which we have traveled, and if the future road looms ominous or unpromising, and the roads back uninviting, then we need to gather our resolve and, carrying only the necessary baggage, step off that road into another direction. If the new choice is also unpalatable, without embarrassment, we must be ready to change that as well." - Maya Angelou

2) "A lot of people assume that women of a certain age who are not unattractive have no excuse for not having a perfect life. But you can have emotional baggage that is dragging you down like cement blocks tied to your feet." - Olivia Wilde

3) "To move forward today, you must learn to say good-bye to yesterday's hurts, tragedies and baggage. You can't build a monument to past problems and fail forward." - John C. Maxwell

4) "As I say the words, I realize how true they are. And maybe that's the trick to getting through it, through life: realizing that everybody, including ourselves, is lugging around some kind of screwed-up baggage. Maybe we are put here to help each other carry the loads." - Lisa Ann Sandell

“Spring is here, time to clean out the emotional baggage and move on!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
