How can City Manager Mike Burns forced someone to resign? He's not an elected official but a hired hand. The one that could do that would be Mike DeVore, the Mayor. Other elected officials that would have to vote would be Jim Salzwedel - Mayor Pro Tem, Greg Canfield, Cliff Yankovich and Marty Chambers - Council Members.
Meanwhile the above individuals their having their resignations called for by the citizens of Lowell.
Protesters have been picketing the City Hall. Some were legally carrying. Ironic isn't it.
