A good portion of the public has no idea of the characteristics or functions of firearm, what is and what isn't and assault weapon. This interview at least made many of the main points quite clear. That segment on Television with You I'm sure was more information than a lot of people had. I grew up with rifles and shotguns then of course with over Forty years of Military and Police experience added to that handled and fired My share. You and I learned from an experience many plain don't have not had access to any information to at least give them some basic facts. I think Your video was great for those people, a few of whom I hope watched to learn at least a few thing to understand hopefully a little better.

A pain getting FFL. Silencer stamp is not easy either. Thread your barrel and go to Auto Zone for an oil filter, if quiet floats your boat. An auto-loader of good caliber will do the same as AR, without the hassle and stigma. Ruger Mini-14 or similar.

the only problem with this solution is that it is a felony. Re-purposing any device to act as a sound reduction system attached to a firearm, whether it be a oil filter, a pop bottle or a potato constitutes manufacture of an unlicensed and unregistered silencer in violation of the National Firearms Act and will cost you your Military pension as well as cost you 20 K in fines and up to a 10 year prison stint or both as a judge my decide...That is way more a pain in the ass than paying 200 bucks and getting quiet legally.

SSG Roger Ayscue - No doubt, that's why I said if silence floats your boat. I prefer something loud - like a 12 ga. or .45. AT-4 even better, and yes I know I'm not allowed to have one anymore. C4 is a party too.
