Maybe... Maybe not. In my precinct, the voter turnout for the primary, more Republicans showed up and voted for President Trump than in the 2016 general election. The same was true for most of the county. President Trump captured 92.6% of the Republican vote.
On the flip side, fewer democrats voted in the 2020 primary than voted in the 2016 primary. Maybe it is because Vice President Biden is the presumptive DNC nominee. Or, maybe its because there isn't much in VP Biden's campaign to energize the Democrat rank and file. You can't build a campaign around vote for X because he isn't Y. VP Biden only captured 64% of the Democrat votes.
I'd just like to give a shout out to the progressive, Marxist, and "liberal" violent rioters, or as I now call them the militant committee to re-elect Trump.
