Not sure why people are calling Murphy "dumbass" or "stupid" when you consider the relatively short span of time democratic governance has been around. The notion of ruling a nation democratically through elected representatives was entirely new a couple hundred years ago after thousands of years or monarchic rule. Democracy certainly isn't practiced in the military, in the church, nor is it the way big corporations are run, so to call Murphy stupid when he points out that democracy where power is allocated to the governed is not a natural state of affairs is, quite frankly, stupid. It is important to remember that it is not something that occurs naturally, but something that must be worked on and cultivated in order to succeed. It takes effort, attention, and competence to thrive.

First he needs a civics lesson we are not a democracy, we are a democratic republic, in a true democracy everyone would get a vote on every issue. We elect representatives who vote on these issues, supposedly they are supposed to represent those who voted for them in their best interest, we know in some cases that is not the case.

Is a communist republic not communist? Is a socialist republic not socialist?

America is not a democratic republic. It is a representative republic.

Semantics. All republics are representative republics. The difference is that we elect representatives through a democratic process rather than the representative being installed from the ruling party or class.
