Again they are creating fear. When Biden loses, the rats will be exposed.

I believe the protests and riots will continue until the government opens up a dialogue. Both sides have ideologies that are in direct contest.

Talk about fascism. Vote Biden or else. Seriously, if violence is what they want, then why wait, lets just get it over with already. Our republic needs watering every few hundred years or so.

Seriously, Trump is going to win. and the idiots will burn their cities, and ruin their economic validity. We all know they have not the balls to leave their cities and go to the rural areas because Billy Bob, and Becky Lynn are armed to the fucking teeth, and have had their Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents teach them how to shoot, and use the land since they were 7 or 8, while many of these idiots cannot figure out what gender or bathroom to use, and are scared to death of fire arms.

Maj John Bell -
I never said DHS was the execution agency. I said this: DHS is the lead agency to coordinate and provide leadership to federal agencies, cabinets, NGOs, states, and ARNORTH.

Look the federal government pumped 2 trillion dollars and you say the federal government has little authority in national disaster responses. That in itself tells me you don't fathom the situation. I am done. Have a great day!

MAJ Ken Landgren - The Federal government has the ability to assist. Ability does not equate to command authority. Let's put this on a smaller scale.

House on fire. The Fire Chief (Incident Commander) needs roads blocks so that his firefighters aren't hit by passing traffic and cars aren't running over his hose lines. The fire chief tells law enforcement, and if there is a county road commission barricade trailer, the county road commission where to close the roads, and where to close the roads.

The county road commission has a barricade trailer because the Emergency manager months ago said it was a good idea and the county Emergency Management authority made sur that there was one and that it was house with the road commission. The road commission agreed to maintain the trailer and to provide an on-call POC 24/7 if the trailer was needed. Just because the road commission has the trailer, they don't have the authority during this incident to decide if, when, and where barricade assets are deployed.

The Federal government has funds and assets to assist. That doesn't mean it gets to decide if, when, and where the funds and assets are deployed.

This was your original thesis: There is very limited authority at the Federal level to deal with the pandemic. I gave you a long list of what the federal government can do to include ARNORTH.

Another of your thesis is: The Federal government has funds and assets to assist. That doesn't mean it gets to decide if, when, and where the funds and assets are deployed. Well guess what. The federal government decided how to spend the extra 2 trillion dollars.

You are wrong and I am tired of responding to you. Have a great day!

MAJ Ken Landgren - Once again not a single citation to back your assertion. It's like you think you are Hammurabi and I'm supposed to accept your opinion because "YOU SAY SO."

A provision of emergency law was refined in May 1976. Legislation was enacted granting the President the authority to order certain selected members of an armed services reserve component to active duty without a declaration of war or national emergency. Previously, such an activation of military reserve personnel had been limited to a “time of national emergency declared by the President” or “when otherwise authorized by law
Source: 10 US Code Section 12304.
However, those deployments are not without restrictions and limitations.

Show me the Clause in the Constitution, The Federal Law, or the Supreme Court Decision that gives the President to exercise authority over the Governors of sovereign States. And they are IN FACT sovereign states in EVERY matter not enumerated in the Constitution. The President's authority is primarily limited to the border and federal properties in such cases.

I keep hearing the same shrill scream " The President bungled the pandemic response." When I ask what specific powers he should have exercised... DEAFENING SILENCE." From my point of view if you believe someone screwed something up you should have a pretty clear idea of how it should have been done. Enlighten me.

The World Health Organization's (WHO’s) International Health Emergency Committee met twice in January, first on January 22-23 and then again on January 30. In the first meeting, the committee felt it had INSUFFICIENT evidence to declare an emergency, but at the second meeting it took the decision to declare a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC). The WHO did not declare a global pandemic until March 11, after it became clear that the virus was spreading across borders, but not before the WHO made many warnings to governments, the WHO declared a global pandemic.

I propose a starting date of 21 January 2020, when the first case of COVID-19 was identified in the US. What powers should the President have exercised and when should he have exercised? If you want to use another starting date tell me the date and explain why it it the more appropriate date.
