Interesting is one word my friend SSG(P) (Join to see). In the contentious pre-election in the SARS-CoV-2 risk season, I am grateful that the issue of selecting and confirming a new SCOTUS Associate Justice will be limited to the U.S. Senate. Unfortunately, there will be theater absurd in this process. I pray for wisdom and discernment for President Trump as he selects a nominee to serve as SCOTUS Associate Justice and an honest appraisal of the nominee by the Senate.
Hopefully, the process will be initiated and completed this year. Ironically, if it is not completed and SCOTUS has to weigh in on election issues, there are currently 5 justices who are generally strict constructionists and three who are in favor of penumbral rights. :-)
