"On November 20, 1946, born on this day, Duane Allman guitarist, and co-founder and leader of The Allman Brothers Band who released the classic album Eat a Peach in 1972 and had the 1973 US No.12 single 'Ramblin Man'. Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident on 29th October 1971 in Macon, Georgia, when he collided with the rear of a flatbed truck that had turned in front of him."

Well I've frequently had Statesboro blues but that's because it was a low level Radar Bomb Scoring site that we occasionally used when I was in FB-111s. Site was in Georgia and we slways seemed to have weather issues when scheduled there plus it was usually at night. I do remember that there was a civilian airport, Sylvania Plantation, that we would ask to turn on the runway lights when we were totally lost.

The Allman Brothers were jamming band take a jam for hours seeing them in person after Dwayne died they were great and had to be back in 74 another great post
