You would think if it was because he criticized Trump he'd have been removed a lot sooner. Could it be he is rotating out? It mentioned something about contracts...did this guy's contract end? Usually when Trump's pissed at someone they get fired a lot sooner - like the DHS cybersecurity guy. SECDEF.

During an October 5 interview on "Today," Phillips said that Trump's actions were "a dangerous move" and the "wrong message to be sending."
