Reply: Does that include Morning Joe and the Hoe and Rachal Madaow and the CNN crew -- after all if you think its good for one it should be good for all!
Shutting the pipeline down does nothing for the US oil or gas. All that pipeline was for was for transportation of crude oil so it could be shipped out of the continent for refinement.

By train --- and do you know who owns the train line that has the contract to move the oil -- Why its none other then Warren Buffett -- a billionaire who does not want to see the income stream interrupted. No such problems occur with a pipeline.
Canada has already said they are fine with it!

Response: I respectfully disagree. We have heard this line before and what we got was a $500M boon dongle called Solyndra... CA has rolling brownouts because they rely on Solar and Wind. The problem is there is no mass storage capacity to store the energy for when its needed. I am sure that this is a problem that will be solved some day but right now it cannot be done. I am also absolutely sure that John Karry will not visit face to face with the Union workers who just lost their jobs, look them in the eye and tell them they need to "REPURPOSE".
Shutting the pipeline down has no affect on our own oil and gas fields and those employed by them.

This will lead to the loss of our energy independence, put us at the mercy of the Oil Cartels of the Middle East --- which will inevitably lead to further wars in which your grandchildren can serve.
If the pipeline was fully operational it would have less than 2000 employees on its maintenance crew. They can use all those people to dismantle the stupid thing and rework the land back to a semblance of what it was before it was destroyed for the pipeline!

So when I see this I have to ask where is the leadership... Do you have any idea how many empty hotel room there are in DC right now because of COVID --- Thousands! Do not give the BS when its raining or cold that "its good training" --- Just incase YOU have forgotten -- YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PRACTICE BEING MISERABLE! Shame on the leadership for allowing this... when did the Army run out of tents and cots, heaters and generators and portable latrines --- I suspect that a FOB in Afghanistan had better accommodations... I am concerned that there is an entire generation of leaders including you that thinks this is how to care for soldiers.
