The new Marine Commandant just threw out the tanks to make them light so they will have to have Army 19 Series Soldiers come there instead. The change occurred 3 months ago.

Yup the Marines no longer have the M1 tank or if they still do they are getting rid of all remaining Tank units. They do not believe tank units fit with their doctrine any longer.

The Intrinsic Action Mission in Kuwait tested the preposition concept. We filled a DC-10 and flew from Ft Hood to Kuwait. We got a quick brief on the ground and proceeded to draw our tanks and weapons. Immediately upon the draw we loaded HETS and went into the middle of the desert in the night. We were all so tired that we just laid on top of the tanks and fell asleep until the hot sun woke us up at 0600.
