It's very important that you research your state's policies on self defense and deadly force because each state has its own laws. My North Carolina home was broken into in 2019 and several thousand dollars worth of items were stolen. I told the investigating detective that I wished I'd been home; the thieves would have ended up in body bags. He said that would be okay if I caught them INSIDE my house but he'd be putting me in cuffs if they'd been outside and retreating, even if they had my things on them. Outside, advancing and firing at me, it would be legal to use defensive deadly force. It's very important that you know your state's laws regarding deadly force.

Thanks for the article. Now lets see how far it goes with this administration and can we sue them when they ignore our rights.
