California Senate Passes Bill Mandating Vote-by-Mail Ballots for This Year’s Elections

The bill that was passed only extended existing law to cover elections for this year. Did you even take half a second to look at the actual bill that was passed? Nowhere does it say anyone is required to vote by mail. It places requirements on the State government, not on citizens.
From SB 29: "Existing law required county elections officials to mail a ballot to every registered voter for the November 3, 2020, statewide general election. Existing law, for the November 3, 2020, statewide general election, also required county elections officials to use a specified Secretary of State vote by mail tracking system or a system that meets the same specifications.
This bill would extend these requirements to all elections proclaimed or conducted prior to January 1, 2022. By requiring a county elections officials to mail a ballot to every registered voter, and to track those ballots, this bill would impose a state-mandated local program."

CPT Jack Durish - Yeah, by giving people the opportunity to vote. I know you don't care for people voting, Jack, especially if they don't look like you. But that is the system that we have right now. If you would prefer something more authoritarian, there are a number of options.
