I'm pretty sure that when they run your tag/license plate they inform the LEO that you have a permit. I always hand them my CCW with my drivers license. They can figure it out from there.

LTC Stephen C. - That is a good thing. That should be a standard across the country.

SFC Ralph E Kelley - Pretty fool proof. I'd hate to be have way through the stop and then they find out. Things can go sideways pretty fast.

LTC Stephen C. - Yes they are the same number, I still keep them together and will hand both over at the same time. I'd rather the LEO knows before He calls it in.

When stopped by law enforcement I hand them my drivers license and gun license at the same time. When asked where my gun is I respond that its on my right hip. If they ask for my insurance papers I let them know that its in the glove box and as if its ok for me to retrieve it. Usually the officer lets me know that as long as I don't pull my gun he won't pull his. Oklahoma law officers are usually pretty good when you show them your gun license as they will usually just give you a warning and send you on your way.
