How NASA’s Ingenuity Helicopter Was Developed for Mars | WSJ

Good Monday Afternoon my Brothers and Sisters!
I just came across a great video released by the Wall Street Journal in cooperation with NASA/JPL regarding the development of the Ingenuity helicopter... It was not as simple as it may look... A great deal of time testing, reworking, added development and more resulted in what is now on Mars ready to fly! In this video you will see an identical twin to Ingenuity that was used in the development process... I hope that you find it as interesting and worthwhile watching as I did... This is by far a step taken by mankind to fly an object on another planet and opens doors to further planetary exploration in the future...
Ingenuity's flight is the crucial piece of the Mars flight puzzle so-to-speak! Success means more development, a larger craft with more capability... Failure may possibly terminate the development project or at least cut it back... It is exciting to watch the progress and the pauses to resolve issues... It is history in the making... I will never live long enough to see man set foot on Mars, but many of you will as a result of our rovers exploration as well as what Ingenuity will bring forth following a successful flight!

There was a post, by you I think, that talked about the years it took to finalize the design and then to build and test. The article spoke about the lady who works at JPL and she said the team was hopeful that the little 'copter would fly. Thanks for posting this follow-up.
