Scientist Presents Evidence Of Water On Mars During House Science Committee Hearing

Since the Rover, Perseverance ("Percy") landed on Mars, we have all wondered about 'Water' on Mars... Well, we have seen evidence of that in deep craters where there is water ice covered by Dry Ice, where the water does not melt and sublimate directly into the Martian Atmosphere... We have also evidenced water ice at the Martian North and South Poles, and we have just witnessed melting water ice and dust in a mountainous avalanche, some 1600 feet down...
But what of the actual abundance of water or water ice on Mars? In this video, Dr. Beth Ehlmann, Associate Director of the Keck Institute for space Studies at Cal Tech shows data that would indicate historical lakes on the Martian surface.
It is a well constructed presentation and I highly recommend you watching it as the graphics really tell a story in addition to the presentation dialog as well... Kindly watch in FULL SCREEN so the graphics are clear...

Excellent share. We might actually be able to establish a colony there someday

Someday, I agree, Charlie... There will be lots of work to be done, before we can finally establish a colony there... Many years ago I read book series written by Kim Stanley Robinson, which looked at Mars in three aspects of change... Red Mars, Green Mars, and Blue Mars as well as a wrap up book, the name of which escapes me... Each of these books addressed the environmental changes that occurred as humans terraformed the planet... There were also parts of the series where there was talk of the stresses and infighting on Earth, which necessitated the spawning of Mars as human life extension of Earth without the problems of Earth... It was an interesting series, Charlie...
