Then why were they breaking the windows? The cops that aided the insurrection need to get charged as well.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - How you feel, and what the charges are right now, are entirely different. Criminal trespassing is a misdemeanor, which is what 9/10ths of those arrested have been charged with. None have been charged with insurrection. That is all that is required to prove you are an idiot and allow your emotions to govern your logic. accidently hitting and killing someone, as opposed to firing your weapon killing someone during a robbery are two different things, the first is manslaughter - the second is murder. All but a tiny fraction of those that entered the capitol did it for social media cred, not to actually kill or injure anyone in the building. We have the most heavily armed population on the planet, if an overthrow of the government was the intent of those people, then there would be dead politicians, and dead insurgents. not 1 unarmed woman shot and killed for trespassing.

I defend them from frothing fanatics like you. what the law is, and how you feel are very different things.

SSG Robert Perrotto - Exactly what I would expect a Trump supporter to say to justify an attack on the country they claimed to serve.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - right - all you have are personal attacks as an argument. There is nothing of actual substance to any of your posts other then to make an attack upon me. I stated the facts as they stand right now concerning 6 January, your feelings on the matter are not worth the sheet of toilet tissue to wipe your ass.

SSG Robert Perrotto - There is no argument. It was, by definition, an insurrection. You can try to play word games all you like to change that fact, but it does not change what actually happened. It was an insurrection before anyone was charged, and it is still an insurrection. What people may or may not be charged with relative to their role in the insurrection is immaterial. You can try to apply moral equivalence to other riots, but it does not change the fact. What you are doing is called equivocating in some desperate attempt to justify an attack against the United States and its Constitutional processes. You are prioritizing your political loyalties over your loyalty to your country. Because you are a Trump supporter, and that is what Trump supporters do. You feel attacked for being described by your actions, namely your support of Trump and those that follow him, but apparently you don't understand that actions speak louder than words.

When the guard lets you in, I think it is very hard to make a rational argument for trespassing.
