I watched it 4 or 5 times in the 1st two weeks. My step-dad's friend renamed his Caddillac the Millennium Flacon (yes he already had a name for it, it's Texas what are you gonna do) !

My dad said he saw A New Hope the day before my brother was born, a month after it opened. Actually. His birthday is June 25. I think he said my mom was worried "what if I go into labor and you're at that movie??" Lol. My dad's a huge sci Fi nerd. He talked about watching the original Star Trek series when it came out and how his mom didn't understand why he watched it. There's quite the library of sci fi books at his house and when we grew up.
