Why don't they stop tectonic plate movements while they're at it? That would prevent all those catastrophic earthquakes...

They could just use Thor's tungsten rods to pin the earth's lithosphere to the asthenosphere. /sarcasm

Isn't it funny that they believe taxes and legislation will "adjust" the earths climate?

Some activists liberal climate change people are leftist and they don't believe in economics nor in scientific theory but in their own fear of cataclysm. How about you can on a cataclysm raising the price of fuel taxes 500% in the next 6 years, it's happening in Canada!

Yesterday's moves by large energy companies shows that the message is getting rhrough. Deniers can deny all they want but when climate change starts entering energy company board rooms the handwriting is on the wall. Think hay and horse farms when the internal combustion engine hit the scene.

Even the Saudis are buying video game companies. I'm still investing in making good money in the oil sector.

You did bring up a good point because you can't drive a thousand miles cross-country in Canada in the middle of the winter even under clear road conditions because the electric-car spent so much time trying to keep the batteries warm and its range is affected drastically. Even if you had charge your terminals everywhere, the closest what's the fastest you can charge is about six and a half hours so I don't foresee the internal combustion engine going away completely. I think this will be more of a hybrid car situation. They said 20% of people will turn in their electric cars because of the high cost of getting the electrical hooked up to your house. I always take the taxi to the airport because the military would pay for it instead of paying for long-term parking and the Taxi man who has hybrid minivans did not like them nor keep them because when the battery went bad, it was something like 8 to $10,000 to replace the battery on the hybrid van. It may work well with commuters and with those in warmer climates, but I don't think gasoline is going to be replaced completely anytime soon.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen yes, you can get a Tesla home power pack the size of a small dishwasher. With all the sudden you have in Florida, you can use a solar panels to charge up the batteries and then use that electricity to run your house and maybe even sell some back to the local utility. You may even have a tax credit for it. What is ironic in the movie I Robot is Will Smith had the only vehicle that was gasoline and all the electric cars were being hacked and shut down by the Mainframe that was trying to take over the world. I am not kidding but the time that I Robot was supposed to be in the near future was 2035 the year that California governor Newsom and others want to get rid of the internal combustion engine completely or stop production by that year. Isn't that ironic?
