On June 9, 1973, at the 105th Belmont, Ron Turcotte aboard Secretariat won in 2:24, becoming the first Triple Crown winner in 25 years. Unbelievably wonderful and beautiful horse.

If you placed all Belmont starters throughout history into the race at the same time, Secretariat would have won by 10 lengths. He was that good on that day (and his jockey never even used the whip).
