Parents Are Asking TikTok For Access To The Videos Their Kids Are Watching

A 12-year-old Oklahoma boy was found with ligature marks on his neck on July 19 after taking part in the "blackout challenge," a dangerous trend circulating on TikTok wherein TikTokkers film themselves holding their breath or choking themselves until they lose consciousness. He was taken to the Oklahoma Children's Hospital for treatment but died early the next morning.
Tragedies like this one have led a group of parents to call on TikTok to let them see all the videos accessed by their children, to keep abreast of the dangers.
Parents are being encouraged by authorities to seek that information.

Darwin Awardees; clearly if the parents aren't going to bother with what their children are involved in. While Gen X Absentee parenting was normal because we could only do so much; the offspring of Gen X are all seemingly going on the other end of the stick and engaging in dangerous activities to get attention from their absentee parents....
However, if it wasn't for the "Error of Reagan & Bush Sr" in destroying "Middle Class America" on purpose. Thanks to Bush Sr's racist beliefs and ideology; then the average family can no longer have a single income household, work around 40-50 hours to pay for those goods, and be able to take a vacation without either joining the Federal Government or Military anymore.
Instead we're seeing both parents on average be out of the house around 50+ hours leaving their crotch goblins to get online and into trouble without proper parental supervision. We no longer have the standard of living that existed post WWII and wiped out by the time Clinton took office.
Then again Clinton was just as horrible with his support of mass incarceration for the private prison industry. Further destroying Middle Class families across the entire ethnicity spectrum; especially after shipping Union jobs overseas for the sake of the profit margins of Walmart and Sam's Club. While Reagan's acts of anti-Union policies were designed to undermine the public support of Unions because of using Bible Quotes to support Corporate America and treat employees as (wage) slaves.
I should point out that the rise of the "Super Predator" myth started by Reagan and further pushed by Clinton's "War of Crime (Profiteering)" is what led to the mass shooting incidents in public schools. It's because of the broken homes of Middle Class America; fiscally, psychologically and morally. The Columbine Shooting was the first shoot heard round the world and while Conservatives and Evangelicals once again blamed "video games, heavy metal, and religious extremism of Satanism" as the root cause.
Anyone who actual had B Sci (or higher) in Criminology, Sociology or Social Work; saw the real cause was absentee parents. Those children whom committed Domestic Terrorism would get online to early BBS and other sites to join radical groups. Worse is these kids were often recruited by going unsupervised to public events that these Domestic Terrorists/Cults/Gangs hung out and claimed to be Civic Organizations with darker agendas and beliefs. The fact that the internet has just made it easier for them to recruit folks whom are often disillusioned and desperate turn there rather than find better groups like the BSA; which when they had parental units present didn't have sexual abuse issues because of being aware and paying attention vs absentee adults with Sexual Predators abound.
Then again if we hadn't had the "Error of Reagan" in the first place then we'd never have these children wind up engaged in acts of stupidity for attention seeking for their own immediate self pleasure. In the "Dumbing Down of America" by the Moral Majority has stopped encouraging them to Educate themselves and be interested in science and humanities; instead we force them into anti-science beliefs and then wonder why we have anti-vaccine buffoonery and rise in extremism 40 years afterwards. Rather than being the leaders the USA used to be before Reagan entered the Oval Office.
