Finally got go the right link thanks to your 2nd post. Kind of thought provoking and shows that UK at least is looking beyond vaccines. IMO this points out the weakness of the US medical system.....profit! Right now the profit is in vaccines, not research that might eliminate it. Reminds me of some movie or TV show I saw a while back where a drug manufacture stopped development research on a promising drug for some condition because their marketing research showed it wouldn't be profitable.
