Bush Jr's failure and Trump's betrayal of the Kurds and failed attempt to negotiate with the Taliban and a corrupt government will live in infamy along with the botched exit which was going to be a disaster no matter when it happened. It took democrat presidents to get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan. The Atlantic is correct in that there is plenty of blame to go around.
