Georgia anti vaxxers shut down inoculation clinic after harassing healthcare workers

A pop-up Covid-19 vaccination site in Georgia was forced to close following harassment from anti-vaccine members of the public, a senior health care official said.
Kathleen Toomey, the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Health, spoke a press briefing and requested people show respect those working to tackle the pandemic. Ms Toomey was joined by Governor Brian Kemp as she described the treatment of healthcare workers as “wrong” during the state’s struggle with the surge of the Delta variant.
According to Ms Toomey, healthcare workers, such as nurses, have been intimidated through emails and other means.

If people don't want to get a vaccine - leave the people alone who do. Leave the healthcare workers alone at these sites and just go about your business. There's no reason to harass anyone like this. At all. I don't get people who do things like this. What is the end goal? You harass people working and who just want to get vaccinated - and then what? It's just so ridiculous it's pathetic - and sad. I honestly even more so the last year and a half have no hope for the future of the human race. Let an asteroid just come take this planet out.

They harass because they feel like they are using harrassment as a form of protesting in order to attempt to make a change. It's dumb, and only causes more problems. I agree. Live and let live.

Why weren’t the police around to ensure that whoever wanted to get vaccinated could do so without fear of harassment??
