SGT (Join to see) - I couldn't make anything out because he kept stumbling over the words he was reading. So I say to everyone who "feels" that by forcing others to wear a mask or get the jab is actually helping the situation or are we just catering to your "feelings". Let's have an honest and real conversation about our actual freedoms rather than feelings. Want proof, look at what's taking place in Australia right now and you will see everything you need to know about how this supposed virus is eroding people's freedoms all over the place. Time to put aside your woke feelings and truly understand why we have the founding documents in this Republic and why countless numbers of service members gave their lives supporting that ideal.

CW2 Michael Bodnar - Apparently you are not aware that MSAB is not a U.S. base, it just has U.S. Forces on it. I wouldn't expect the Jordanians to enforce or follow U.S. mandates for Jordanian installations. You do understand that the Jordanian government is not constrained by the U.S Constitution or U.S. law, right? That is what SOFAs are for? Why do I have to explain this to a Chief Warrant Officer?

As for your question of Constitutionality, which mandate are you curious about, specifically? The most recent mandate that applies to businesses with over 100 employees has strong Constitutional footing. Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution gives congress regulatory authority over interstate commerce which they do through various laws, one of which is the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, signed into law by Nixon. The text of the 1970 OSH Act includes:

"(1) The Secretary [of Labor] shall provide, without regard to the requirements of chapter 5, title 5, Unites States Code, for an emergency temporary standard to take immediate effect upon publication in the Federal Register if he determines --

(A) that employees are exposed to grave danger from exposure to substances or agents determined to be toxic or physically harmful or from new hazards, and

(B) that such emergency standard is necessary to protect employees from such danger."

The mandate will be enacted through OSHA and the Secretary of Labor, well within the Constitutional Authority and established law and precedent.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - read and understand the 10th amendment. You are correct, MSAB is not a US post however, back to your original comment to me: Name one - military installations overseas that aren't even wearing masks nor enforcing the "mandate" of giving vaccines". I named one. I know because I go there twice a week. We also don't wear masks where I currently am so there's two and guess what, there's another location here as well that I frequent where they aren't being worn either. Now, a mandate is not an official law just like an Executive Order is not. Show me the United State Code where it says that I have to follow these mandates. The President's job is to faithfully execute laws on the books - not create mandates nor rule by Executive Order (and that's any President).

When the government can force you to undergo a medical procedure against your will we are no longer operating under a liberal democracy. We have, in fact, moved to autocracy.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - Nah, that was, in fact, the best you have. Your stunted intellect is not capable of any more. Yes, I will continue to rustle your silly little jimmies because you are cute when you try and insult. Like a two year old trying to ride a bike, it is a little past your ability.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - Mr. Sweeney, you go overboard with threats not in keeping with standards I have for my posts AND RP standards when you advocate for physical violence, part of you comment: “ and I think it is about time Americans start exercising their 2nd Amendment rights against the unvaccinated that spread disease and provide an opportunity for the virus to mutate”. For this infringement I vote you down.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - Mr. Sweeney your comment above to SFC Harmon: “Go fuck yourself.” Is not in keeping with being in one of my overall posts, or to RP standard. I honestly don’t know why administrators still let you on the site, peoepl who vote you up should be ashamed of themselves. Like Stan I have been very gracious to you over a long time because I like honest debate. Unfortunately, you both never have anything constructive to say and like the true Lefties you are, you resort to insults, insinuate untrue accusations, and sometimes just tell bald faced lies when you can’t hold your end in a discussion. For all these reasons I vote you down again and reluctantly block you. You appear to be beyond any redeeming social value.

The republicans wouldn't have had a problem with this if it had come from the orange boy.

SFC Eric Harmon - So what would you call the hundreds of his supporters attempting to storm the Capitol building on Jan 6? Just another group of tourists and sightseers?

SrA John Monette - The basic problem here is you are wanting to shift blame over rhetoric. Trump is a loud mouthed New Yorker. Yes, he made silly statements. He has done that his entire life. Yet he also instituted policies that worked. You have a vaccine available, and the support structure to administer it, because of decisions made by his administration. As to the people that illegally entered the Capitol building, they are trespassers and are being arrested, tried, and when found guilty they are sentenced. That is how our legal system works. It was not an "insurrection". That term is just partisan political rhetoric. You have been insulting. You use terms that poll well with the very far left. Terms like orange. Yes, his complexion is odd, but calling out people over personal appearance is exactly what the left purports to be against.
