The same has been true for all our wars...the difference is that now we have not just fathers and sons, but mothers and sons and mothers and daughters.

I am currently deployed with a Mother and Son team and it is amazing watching these two interact. We aren't in a dangerous area but I can only imagine how bad something like this could affect people.
