We had some great local (non fast-food) restaurants pivot quickly to a carry out option when things closed last March. Those folks saw business increase and were lauded in the media for their quick thinking. They started pouring those funds back into the community, too. The owner of my favorite Indian place was seen taking hundred of meals to hospitals to feed overworked healthcare workers. Fast food mostly just went into hibernation.
