I see so many issues with that article. It looks like this could just be a bad combination of incorrect facts, semantics, and pole vaulting over mouse turds.

First, he didn't say that 2m were vaccinated by the time he took office. He said that it was 2m by the time he was elected. So, the writers have their facts wrong and Biden has his timeline wrong.

Second, maybe Biden meant that only 2m had been "fully vaccinated", whereas 16m people had been administered a dose. Many people in the broader field of public health don't consider someone vaccinated until they are fully vaccinated. We did the same thing in the military when you required multiple series of a vaccine. If you didn't get the later shots in the series, you were still considered unprotected (and therefore unvaccinated). So, 16m doses given does not mean 16m fully vaccinated people, especially given that all of the approved vaccines at that time required two doses (and must be given weeks apart).

Plus, the Trump administration having purchased 300m doses is not indicative of them having all of those 300m doses in hand and ready to be administered. They had approved contracts for 300m, but they weren't completed orders, where the government had taken possession of the doses (let alone having distributed them and had them ready to be administered). The manufacturers hadn't even ramped up production yet. Some of those vaccines were slated for delivery as late as June and July of 2021, well after Trump left office.

The writers of that article are pole vaulting over mouse turds here. Nothing to see here.

If this were the only time Biden was called into question about his Covid facts I would agree but he has continually been less than truthful. Biden also claimed at this town hall that if you were vaccinated you could not get the disease. Efficacy for the Vaccine varies from 88% to 77%. So yes you can get the disease dispute being vaccinated and you can give others the disease. Biden made the many of same lies in the July town hall. Also Biden’s statement is false if you are going to parse Biden’s words. Biden did state “ when first elected”. When Biden was first elected in November there was no vaccine, it wasn’t approved until mid December . F course this wasn’t the only whopper told by Biden at the town hall.

LTC David Brown - Well, if 100% truthfulness is your desire from a politician, you'll never be satisfied. And, he's definitely better about that than his predecessor was about that trait.

LTC Kevin B. - I agree. But Biden runs a closed second to Trump and keeps telling the same lies over and over again. Recently he told the story of the Amtrak conductor for the fourth time since it was proven false.
