Good early Saturday morning, October 23, 2021 my friends. On Friday, October 22, 2021 afternoon, my darling wife drove me to Martinsburg, WV VAMC for a urology appointment to have the stent removed.
The urology surgeon inserted water into my penis to flush it. Then he inserted the camera, and the extraction tool to capture the curled end of the stent. After he examined teh bladder
I also had bloodwork for the urologist. He prescribed two containers for urine [one day’s worth for each] to send to the lab. I concurred with the Doctor's recommendation to research how to reduce my kidney stone generation

Given the painful situation caused by kidney stones whatever reasonable actions you can take to reduce their frequency is good.

Once I stop pissing blood, I intend to start the process of collecting urine over 24 hours.

In 1979 I was in the base hospital for several weeks on complete bed rest for a lower back problem. During that time I had a roommate who was passing kidney stones. The pain he was experiencing was unspeakable, so any procedure that can eliminate that is a great advancement.

Glad to see you back up and running. (No puns intended). I am sincerely concerned for you my friend. I hope they can find the sources for all your discomforts.
O Lord Almighty, the Healer of our souls and bodies, You Who put down and raise up, Who chastise and heal also; do You now, in Your great mercy, visit our brother Stephen Ford who is sick. Stretch forth Your hand that is full of healing and health, and get him up from his bed, and cure him of his illness.
