History can be painful but it doesn’t mean we ignore certain events that were milestones in history cause it makes one feel bad. I just learned today thanks to Gosar that a Congressman was censured in 1842 for speaking out against slavery in America. Apparently there was a gag rule in place that made such debates off limits. History isn’t rainbows and unicorns.
