Technically not, Jack, the images used are right out of the camera aboard Ingenuity, then uploaded to Perseverance, then downloaded to NASA Earth site... Since Ingenuity is not taking photos at 30fps, it may only be taking 4 or 5 or less... Importing the images is a simple process for most video creators using their own particular video software...all part of the video processing. It is definitely not an animation by any stretch, just a low quality due to the adjusted frame rate... That said, I agree with you that it is still fascinating and when you take into account where the raw data is coming from, it is even more amazing...

Sgt (Join to see) I hear you, I was just referring to the fact that animation is really just the process of filming still images then playing that film go create the illusion of motion. I guess in this case it's probably really computer-generated imagery rather than animation.
