Drone attacks have been effectively used by Azerbaijan in it's brief war against Armenia over disputed territory. And Iran has used drones to attack US bases in Syria, as well as against Saudi Oil infrastructure in the Persian Gulf Region. Drones are no longer just a 1st World Country military asset, as powerful commercial drones can be made or purchased for under $2000 US dollars. These drones are often outfitted with explosive bombs or IED systems to detonate over or into their targets. Drones are becoming truly lethal technology that many countries, terrorists, and narcotics trafficker's can purchase and use against their enemies.

I read that the Russian army took notice in Syria after the Turkish military used drones to destroy 100 Russian tanks.

Didn't know about that drone attack before MAJ Ken Landgren ... I'd read of the Armenian defeat by Azerbaijani drones in their conflict. The Turks are pretty tech savvy & tactically proficient too with the use of new military hardware.
