Some scary stuff. Does China want to fight Japan, S. Korea, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, and about 20 more Asian and European militaries along with the USA? Would Russia side up with China and N. Korea and maybe Iran etc.... If we stand up to China in Taiwan, would China drop a nuke? Would Russia? That's a serious game of chess there.

1) As for China, I don't think they would want to use nukes. They have most of their military in and around their Country. Conventional arms favor them, no other Country in the region can match them for number of ships/aircraft/military.
2) Russia wants to be a Superpower again, like it was during the USSR. The USSR gained strength by taking over other Countries and using their resources and manpower.
If they could do it again without triggering a war with the US, NATO, and European Countries, they would.
At this time, they see the US as weak, coming off of a defeat in Afghanistan and likely will not engage Russia in a war.
If the US was to engage in a war with Russia, China would likely wait until both Countries are worn down before joining with Russia.
