So let me understand you correctly. An American, peacefully protesting, has her property taken from her while security does nothing, and then she does the same thing and is immediately arrested?

likely hostile to her message, shadowed by security to prevent a situation arising, has her property taken by a miscreant, security is immediately talking to someone on his handheld (seeking help to catch miscreant? Take out from Domino's? Not clear), the rational action from the peaceful protester should have been to turn to security for assistance getting her property back. Nope. She steals merchandise. Security tells her to return it. She calls him as asshole and refuses. A bystander snatches the stolen property from her. She apparently doesn't notice as she is busy browbeating the person paid to assist her. Wisely,
security calls for backup. She continues her tirade until and after sheriff's deputies arrive.
Still leaves the unanswered question of the cardboard sign thief.
