And why would I care what a radio shock jock has to say about a medical issue?

Capt Gregory Prickett The shock jock will join the list of anti-vaxers that succumb to Covid 19.

Prior to Covid, I had confidence in the CDC. Not anymore. A shame our government institutions have become politicized. In the case of the CDC, public health suffers as a result.

You mean how Trump had posted political people at the CDC to control messaging? Yeah, that was pretty egregious.

You can tell Russell he can get bent. I would tell him directly, but he has me blocked. Doesn't stop him from running his soup cooler apparently. I am sure I have hurt his tender feelings in the past. I am sure he wants to forget the damage caused by the person he voted for, and you can bet I would like to forget Trump was ever in office, but the damage done will last for quite a while.

Riddle me this... humor me.... When the article states "... countless medical experts have said [cloth masks] are useless against Omicron ...", what do they mean by "useless" exactly?

Actually, 2 Questions:
What are the qualifications by education & experience of the "medical experts" because it seems like an awful lot are seeking their 15 minutes of fame, without significant training in virology & infectious diseases, immunology and those specific fields.
AND "useless" or not as useful? Cloth masks have been implemented for centuries, with some imperfect level of effectiveness, for a variety of reasons, both in surgery (to protect the patient) and intervention in infectious disease transmission (influenza, circa 1918 & tuberculosis x decades)

Correct, and I think there is a big disconnect in what people think cloth masks are for. They do very little to protect the wearer, but they are very effective at reducing aerosol spread which is the intended use. Some people just have a problem with the concept that they should do something that will have little benefit for them while having more benefit for other people.
