I am a Christian, I am considered right wing and I surely didn’t support Putin. Let’s be honest and not tar people with a broad Brush and wild swings. The head line should read “can some on the Christian Right Quit Putin”. A lot on the left support Communist Dictators such as Castro, Hugo Chavez, and their murdering thugs like Che Guevara. I wonder if slate publishes articles “ can Democrats Quit on Communists Systems that produced Putin and tyrants like him?”

LTC David Brown I haven't seen many here that support putin. The middle of the road, like you and me, would never think of supporting our former Cold War enemy. Like I stated to Lt Col Shuttleworth, we, the middle, need to be as loud as those on the fringe.

First of all this author is whack. I am a Christian right wing leaning person...I say leaning as I am probably closer to the middle than most folks think. I agree with LTC Brown...I really don't like it when folks paint a group with a broad brush like this. This is pure propaganda. I can't say this clear enough...I DON'T LIKE PUTIN AT ALL...I believe he is evil incarnate. I don't point at the left and say all non Christians and liberals are communist support lifestyles like Russian and Putin and are hate mongers and dividers...don't paint all Christian and right wing folks with a broad brush either.

Very well put Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth . I've never, in the short time I've known you, thought you were far right. You, like a lot of us here, are more to the middle, like you said. There are far too many "news" articles that lump the entire left with the fringe and the entire right with that fringe. It's time those of us in the middle started hewing and crying as loud as the fringe groups.
