If there's one thing most people hate, it's a bully. Putin is the worst kind of bully, trying to make others he's is being benevolent.

CWO4 Terrence Clark - Well, the best thing would be for him to be taken out by concerned parties in his own government, who may then be somewhat disposed to recalling the troops and shutting down the invasion, then working to calm the vitriol Putin invented (his false flag of claiming it was a rescue operation to support those he planted in Eastern Ukraine).

I don't have the skill sets required of a strategic withdrawal, but given the challenges most Russians are facing, retreating under the collapsing house of cards would be a wiser move than pressing ahead in a fight where a relatively small proportion of Russian invaders are professionals, loaded down by so many unwilling conscripts.

That's my two cents of what should be a dollar's worth of proseletyzing that I'm not qualified to expound. But I've flown in and out of war zones in my helo rescue role, and I've seen where strong but calmer hands of leadership had a rapid and positive effect on resolving conflicts and managing positive outcomes in the resulting peace.

What are your thoughts on how to achieve a resolution and win the peace?
