It boggles my mind how anyone in any aspect of the military does drugs and thinks they'll get away with it.

Also why anyone does drugs these days when everything is laced with fentanyl or something else. Even marijuana.

..."They said the Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Hazmat Team tested the powdery substance found at the scene and found it was laced with fentanyl. Reports indicate that police believe the powdery substance was cocaine.

"This incident serves as a stark reminder to all, especially those visiting for Spring Break, of the deadly impacts of Fentanyl. This synthetic opioid continues to have detrimental impacts on many communities, and our agency remains committed to drug prevention and intervention initiatives," the statement said.

The incident is still under investigation, they added.

Drug overdose deaths have broken records in recent years. The increase has been largely driven by an increase in fentanyl overdoses."...

I can't believe how careless folks are about drugs. In the 60s it was "grass, acid, speed" being whispered at passers by in the University District. As I recall folks were cautious about origin of anything they used. The brightest left speed alone, and nothing harder, addicting, more illegal, and self-destructive - or so they said. "Tripping" safely, is one thing. The possibility of dying from anything laced with fentanyl seems a whole other story that carelessly invites self-destruction. Wonder what type of disciplinary action the cadets will be facing.
