On Sunday, Brent Renaud, a reporter for The NY Times, was killed in the fighting near Irbil. Journalists trying to cover fierce fighting in a war zone are always at extreme risk. Howard k Smith was one of the best who worked in Vietnam. A young French photojournalist named Catherine Leroy made a combat jump with our 173d Airborne Brigade; she was so small that she had sandbags in her rucksack to keep her from being blown off course.

Yes. So many good journalists--and so many who were killed or grievously wounded--accompanied our troops in the Bush. The vast majority hung around Saigon to get the party line at the "5 O'clock Follies."

I just read this on a news post! It us all going to he'll in a hand basket and no one will step up & lead to put Putin down for fear of WWIII... We, the, United States, look so weak in the Eyes of the World's countries! Particularly, China's Jinping, sees our weakness, and because of it China will commence the take over of Taiwan, and other abutters to the South China Sea... Biden's passifest lead from behind and blame Putin & Russia for the fuel crises just isn't going to cut it! Just my opinion...

War zones tend be dangerous places for everybody. Prayers for recovery for Benjamin Hall and comfort for his family members.

Fox News Announces That Reporter Benjamin Hall Has Been Gravely Injured "Outside Of Kyiv"
https://rumble.com/vxe7g1-fox-news-announces-that-reporter-benjamin-hall-has-been-gravely-injured-out.html

Fox News correspondent Benjamin Hall was “seriously injured” during an incident near Kyiv on Monday, said Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott in a statement.
“Earlier today, our correspondent Benjamin Hall was injured while newsgathering outside of Kyiv in Ukraine,” Scott said in a statement. “We have a minimal level of details right now, but Ben is hospitalized and our teams on the ground are working to gather additional information as the situation quickly unfolds.”
Irina Venediktova, Ukraine’s prosecutor general, posted a photo of a Fox News reporter’s press badge on Facebook and said that Hall is “in intensive care under medical supervision” after he was injured earlier Monday.
Hall, she added, was not at a Ukrainian military facility when he was “seriously wounded” and accused Russian forces of targeting civilians. It’s not clear if Hall was injured by Russian or Ukrainian forces.
“The safety of our entire team of journalists in Ukraine and the surrounding regions is our top priority and of the utmost importance,” Scott also said in her statement. “This is a stark reminder for all journalists who are putting their lives on the line every day to deliver the news from a war zone.”
Hall, who has three young daughters, has been reporting on the war from Kyiv for several weeks, Fox News said.
“This is news that we hate to pass along to you, but it’s obviously what happens sometimes in the middle of a conflict,” Fox anchor John Roberts said during a Monday broadcast on Monday. “A Fox News journalist has been injured while news gathering outside of Kyiv. Very few details, but teams on the ground are working as hard as they can to try to gather more information.”
Roberts, who did not name the journalist, added: “A reminder, of course, this is in a war zone, that information changes very quickly and we are working as hard as possible to get the best information that we possibly can and get all the details on what has happened. The safety of our Fox team, of course, is of the utmost importance, and our highest priority.”

Here is a perspective from the White House. One reporter mentioned former POTUS Obama red line in the sand was chemical weapons for Syria. Jen Psaki gave no indication of there was a red line for POTUS Biden - sadly this unsurprising
At a White House press briefing, Press Secretary was asked by a Fox News reporter about Benjamin Hall being injured while reporting in Ukraine.
